About the project:
Driscoll’s has two English brochures translate into traditional Taiwan Chinese for printing. The two brochures contained many berries pictures and complex tables. And the files was created from Indesign CS 5, but the client only has PDF files available for translate. Driscoll’s expected a professional team who could deliver perfect traditional Chinese, as well as layout setting for these two brochures.

Our Solution:
1. CCJK’s localization team made a professional and careful analysis based on the client’s requirements, since the client only provide the PDF files for translate, in order to save time and manage the job efficiently, we applied Nitro pro to convert the Pdf files to MS word files.

2. Nitro Pro is a great tool, the contents of converted files are in position as the original PDF files, we only need to make slightly revision to the format.

3. The veteran traditional Chinese translator worked on these two brochures in TM environment. For one hand, internally consistency could be assured by application of the CAT tools. For the other hand, translator memory is a valuable asset for further jobs.

4. To ensure the highest quality of the brochures are ready for printing, we have assigned not only one translator, but at least 3 translators for the translation. We translate from scratch by a linguist, then pass the translated documents to another editor for reviewing, and finally to a 3rd proofreader for polishing the translation and to eliminate any errors.

5. As the client has specific requirements for Traditional Chinese fonts and size in company brochure, our professional DTP engineer tried every his effort to follow the DTP instructions under the PM’s careful monitoring. Finally we turned out the two brandnew Traditional Chinese brochures, which are in perfect match of the original English version.
