About the project:

This project content relates to the translation of one of client’s website www.cyclingbuddy.com – this is all about cycling. The client prepared an English xlsx file for us to translate into Chinese. As the web developers are ready to work on it, therefore this Chinese translation should be completed in a tight schedule, any delay of the delivery will be of no value to the client.

Our Solution:

1. CCJK combined with rigid project management system to ensure quality translation and punctual delivery. Our goal is to help client to enable their e-business and bring great profit.
2. We selected an experienced Chinese native translator who is cycling fan to work on this job. To keep translation consistency, the translation should be done in trados 2007/2009 environment.
3. Our veteran PM prepared the working package, listed client translation instructions and guidelines in detail, scheduled outlines and reference materials to our translator and reviewer. When the initial translations get done, a second native expert will be assigned to the reviewing. This process proved that our translations had the professional accuracy required by the client. All comments and edits were reviewed by QA team and project team leader.

CyclingBuddy.com is a totally free platform which will unite cyclists from all over the globe, allowing members to trade training tips, cycling routes and general opinion on cycling. Their aim is to create a global community, a single destination website for people looking for news, views and reviews on cycling while at the same time also tacking the age old problem of “motivation”.
The website, which only launched on 1st March 2012, has attracted close to 2,000 cyclists who between them have already logged well over 60,000 miles and shared over 400 cycling routes. Chain Reaction Cycles have announced a partnership with the CyclingBuddy.com. The partnership will see CRC sponsor The CyclingBuddy Monthly Activity Reports that are sent to every member at the end of each month.
